成立目的
家庭生活教育資料中心於1979年成立,主要負責發展與家庭生活教育有關的視聽和圖書參考資料,並推廣家庭生活教育服務,以協助前線社工、社會福利服務機構及有關的非牟利團體推行家庭生活教育活動。
組織架構
中心共有職員13人,其中6名是曾接受社會工作專業訓練的人員,負責資源發展和宣傳推廣工作。中心的各級職員如下:

提供的服務
1. 發展家庭生活教育資料


中心依據家庭生活教育資源發展工作小組的建議,發展不同的資料項目,讓會員(社會福利服務機構及有關的非牟利團體)於推行家庭生活教育活動時借用。資料形式包括錄影帶、影像光碟、唯讀光碟、輕便展覽板、錄音帶、鐳射唱片和圖書等,而內容包括個人成長與發展、家庭角色與關係、人際溝通、家務處理、性教育及精神健康等。此外,還有一些針對特別課題的教材,例如家庭暴力、離婚、單親父母、預防青少年犯罪及新來港人士的適應等。中心會透過成立專責小組及委聘專業製作公司,每年製作切合本港情況的家庭生活教育教材。此外,中心每年亦會購買約百多套題材合適的本地及外國製作的視聽教材,以增加資料項目的數量。截至2006年3月31日為止,中心所藏資料共有16,480項。


2. 推廣家庭生活教育


中心會透過大眾傳媒推廣家庭生活教育(如協調社工撰寫報章雜誌專欄)、管理家庭生活教育網頁(www.family-land.org)、印製家庭生活教育小冊子/單張和其他宣傳資料等,向市民大眾推廣家庭生活教育。

中心的圖書、視聽教材及器材供會員免費借用。有關詳情,請參閱中心的借用守則。

供會員瀏覽本中心的視聽教材。 (只供機構會員使用)

    Objectives
    Family Life Education Resource Centre (FLERC) was established in 1979. Its aims are to give support to social workers and non-profit-making social service organizations through the development of audio-visual materials and to promote family life education (FLE).
    Organization Structure
    The Centre has 13 staff members and 6 of which are social work trained officers responsible for resource development and the promotion of FLE. The number and rank of the staff are as follows:

    Service of the Centre
    1. To Develop FLE Resources


    Following the advice of the Working Group on FLE Resource Development, FLERC develops assortment of different resource materials for lending to members(such as social service organizations and related bodies) to run FLE programmes. FLERC will form task forces and appoint technical agents to develop resource materials basing on the local context. The resource materials developed include videos, VCDs, CD-ROMs, light exhibition boards, cassette tapes, CDs, books and training kits on topics such as human growth and development, family roles and relationship, interpersonal communication, home management, sex education and mental health. In addition, topics on special issues such as family violence, divorce, single parenting, prevention of juvenile crime and new arrivals' adjustment are also available. As at 31.3.2005, there were 14,380 items of resource materials in FLERC.


    2. To Promote FLE Service


    FLERC will promote FLE to the public through mass media(such as the coordination of FLE workers to write feature articles in newspapers and magazines), the management of FLE Web (http://www.family-land.org), the production of FLE booklets/ leaflets and other related publicity materials.
    Loan Service
    The Centre is opened to agency and student members on a free-of-charge basis. For details, please refer to "Borrowing Rules".

    Members are entitled to use the following facilities:


    Library:


    Books, magazines and reference materials relating to FLE are kept in the library for reading and for loan . (for all members)


    Preview room:


    For members to view audio-visual materials. (for agency member only)


    Theatre:


    To organize briefing sessions on the service of FLERC. (for all members and related organizations)

  • Withdrawal of Membership
    1. For withdrawal, member is required to notify FLERC by
        completing the "Withdrawal of Membership" form.
    2. Under the following circumstances, FLERC has the right to
        request member to withdraw membership:
  • the member repeatedly violates borrowing rules and procedure
       or damages resource materials.
  • the member no longer fulfils the criteria of membership.
