1. To Develop FLE Resources
Following the advice of the Working Group on FLE Resource Development, FLERC develops assortment of different resource materials for lending to members(such as social service organizations and related bodies) to run FLE programmes. FLERC will form task forces and appoint technical agents to develop resource materials basing on the local context. The resource materials developed include videos, VCDs, CD-ROMs, light exhibition boards, cassette tapes, CDs, books and training kits on topics such as human growth and development, family roles and relationship, interpersonal communication, home management, sex education and mental health. In addition, topics on special issues such as family violence, divorce, single parenting, prevention of juvenile crime and new arrivals' adjustment are also available. As at 31.3.2005, there were 14,380 items of resource materials in FLERC.
2. To Promote FLE Service
FLERC will promote FLE to the public through mass media(such as the coordination of FLE workers to write feature articles in newspapers and magazines), the management of FLE Web (http://www.family-land.org), the production of FLE booklets/ leaflets and other related publicity materials. |
